Depok Mayor Nurmahmudi Ismail rides in an electric car along Jl. Jatimulya in Depok, West Java, on Friday. The electric car was invented by a Depok resident, Dasep Ahmadi, and produced by PT Sarimas Ahmadi Pratama. The car can travel 150 kilometers on a single charge.

The battery needs to be charged for six hours just to travel for three hours at 50 kilometer per hour!

Not to mention that power generators in Indonesia use fossil fuels.
