Banten repairs roads before Lebaran exodus

Entering the second week of Ramadhan, local administrations in Banten are speeding up road repairs.
“All repair works across the province should be completed 10 days prior to Idul Fitri. I have ordered all agencies to get a move on,” M. Shaleh, Banten administration representative said on Friday.
Dozens of workers have been working around the clock to repair Jl. Raya Serang linking Jakarta and Banten.
Major damage can be seen between kilometers 21 and 24. “Jl. Raya Serang is a main route for home bound travelers in Banten and therefore we will speed up the repairs,” Samad, a supervisor for the road repair project, said.
