Japanese art expert Fumio Nanjo presented a talk on artist Yayoi Kusama at Pacific-Place Jakarta on Friday, in conjunction with the opening of seven Louis Vuitton-Yayoi Kusama pop-up concept stores internationally.

Nanjo is the director of the Mori Art Museum Japan. Kusama, 83, is acclaimed for her avant-garde art featuring polka dots that reflect her obsession with the idea of accumulation.

Singapore is the host of one of the concept stores, which feature original design and carry special products created in collaboration with the artist. The concept store at Takashimaya Shopping Center, Ngee Ann City, will be featured from July 13-Nov. 1.

Other stores are in Hong Kong’s Pacific Place (until Sept. 8), Tokyo Shinjuku Isetan (until July 31), Tokyo Dover Street Market (until Aug. 26), New York Soho (until July 31), Paris Le Printemps Department Store (Aug. 23-Oct. 21) and London Selfridges Department Store (Aug. 24-Oct. 19).
