Officials urged to use non-subsidized fuel

Although a Central Java governor’s circular has been issued banning official vehicles from using subsidized fuel from August 2012, many vehicles have yet to have non-subsidized fuel stickers attached as of Tuesday, an official said.
The Provincial Energy and Mineral Resources Agency head Teguh Dwi Paryono said that as of Tuesday, only 1,526 out of 3,500 official vehicle users had taken the stickers from his office.
So far, only 40 of the administration’s units (SKPD) have picked up the stickers.
The obligation to use non-subsidized fuel is also applicable to officially rented vehicles.
Teguh called on users of all official vehicles to collect the stickers from his office.
The stickers will help at gas stations, indicating that the vehicles should not be filled up with subsidized fuel.
