The Jakarta Health Agency is planning to set up 43 health posts in public places, including bus terminals, train stations and tourist attractions, during the Idul Fitri exodus season.
“A number of these posts will be open for 24 hours and they will provide services free of charge,” agency head Dien Emmawati said on Wednesday.
The 24-hour posts will be available at Gambir, Jatinegara, Senen and Tanjung Priok train stations, as well as Kampung Rambutan, Kemayoran, Lebak Bulus and Pulo Gadung bus terminals.
More than 7 million Jakartans are expected to leave the capital to celebrate this year’s Idul Fitri in their hometowns in what some cite as one of the world’s largest annual migrations.
