RI to host world youth conference

Indonesia will host the International Conference on Population and Development’s (ICPD) 2014 Global Youth Forum (GYF).
The GYF would discuss the ICPD’s “Beyond 2014” population and development programs, Sugiri Syarief, the chairman of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), said on Wednesday.
The forum is scheduled to run from Dec. 4 to 6 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) in Nusa Dua, Bali. More than 900 representatives from the government and youth organizations from 152 nations are expected to attend, along with delegates from UN agencies, NGOs, youth organizations and the private sector.
On the forum’s agenda are health, education, employment, family planning and civic participation issues.
