Members of the Indonesian Christian Church (GKI) Yasmin and the Congregation of Batak Protestant Churches (HKBP) Filadelfia staged a rally in front of the State Palace to show solidarity toward the plight of Muslim Rohingya in southern Myanmar on Sunday.
The protesters called on President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to address the violations of the rights of minority groups in the country before helping to solve the conflict.

But this is SBY, dear fellow readers: NATO (No Action, Talk Only). He is only active in polishing his own image.

What most people fail to understand is that the conflict in Myanmar is not about religion.
The Rohingya entered Myanmar from Bangladesh and are illegally residing in Myanmar.

SBY should sort out the conflicts between different Muslim sects and other religions within Indonesia before making any comments regarding Myanmar.

ASEAN should do something before it is considered as a toothless tiger by the people.
ASEAN should give the utmost importance to human rights above all else.
We have to admit that the Rohingya have become political scapegoats for the Burmese regime.
They have been successfully branded as foreign invaders by the regime and, rather quickly, Burmese ultra-nationalists have started to follow the gross human rights violators of the regime.
They forget how they suffered under the same regime.
Rohingya are human beings and the most suffering people in the world. They should be helped in any way.
