Batik Keris, a Surakarta-based batik producer in Central Java, has partnered with The Walt Disney Company to create colorful batik featuring famous Disney characters in an effort to take batik forward internationally.

Batik Keris should not be so happy about this achievement. We all know that there are no free lunches. We live in a capitalist era. Be careful: a bloodsucker will be with those who have money, but will leave when there is no more blood inside.

Do not ever let them learn how to create batik as we do or they will be our competitor in the future.
