Christina Sasmita bought two St. Bernards from a kennel in Bandung, West Java, in 2008, because she wanted her children to have pets to play with and learn from. Little did she know that these dogs, with her two other St. Bernards, would help to improve the protection and promotion of animal rights in the country.

Your comments:

It doesn’t sound like a case of people intentionally abusing the animals. It’s more a lack of concern about animals’ safety and well-being.

It seems like Planet Petshop is a typical commercial enterprise that values animals/pets simply as commodities. It will take more than a court action and a fine to change the general mind-set of the population toward animals.
