Jakarta’s official Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) cleared the so-called King of Dangdut, Rhoma Irama, of alleged campaign violations on Sunday.
Panwaslu chairman Ramdansyah said the controversial comments Rhoma delivered in a sermon last month did not constitute an election campaign violation.
“We have, therefore, stopped our investigation into the case and will not report the case to the police,” Ramdansyah told reporters at his office in Central Jakarta on Sunday evening.

Indonesia is not an Arab country! Sharia should not be implemented in a democratic country like Indonesia. It is inappropriate.

There are a few primordial figures in Indonesia that may have been blinded by their narrow-mindedness. One of those is this singer with his religious rhetoric. Indonesia needs nationalists to make our nation prosper and respected in world forums.

It is simply a strategic move from Ahok’s team to get supporters. It is the same with SBY’s strategy ... Good!! Go on, Mr. Fauzi and Mr. Jokowi, we want to see which of you will end up the winner.
We hope both of you give us a good education in the political system because now the people in
Indonesia are focusing on you.
