Celebrity-turned-politician Venna Melinda says she visited President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s house first before that of her father on Idul Fitri.
Venna is a legislator from the Democratic Party, and Yudhoyono is the chief patron.
“During Lebaran [Idul Fitri], we performed the Ied prayer, then we went to the State Palace to meet President SBY [Yudhoyono], then we went to my in-laws’ house because it is close to the palace. Then we went to the house of [Youth and Sports Minister] Andi Mallarangeng, then we went to the house of [Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Minister] Syarief Hasan, then we went to my father’s place. We have been out and about all day,” she said as quoted by kapanlagi.com on Sunday in Jakarta.
Venna said that on Monday, she was planning to visit the grave of her grandfather at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta.
