Alessandro Del Piero signs with Sydney: Reports

Former Juventus forward Alessandro Del Piero has signed with Sydney FC according to Italian media.
The ANSA news agency and Sky Italia say the former Italy forward signed a contract with Sydney on Wednesday.
The deal is expected to be for two years at $2 million per season, which would make Del Piero the highest paid athlete in Australia's four football codes, including rugby league, rugby union and Australian Rules.
Del Piero reportedly turned down offers from English Premier League clubs Liverpool and Southampton.
He is expected to announce the decision in a Turin hotel at a press conference scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (1130 GMT).
