Text your say: Latest raids against terrorists

A- A A+

Paper Edition | Page: 8

Your comments on the latest raids against alleged terrorists that caused the deaths of three people — two terrorist suspects and one police officer — and in which three other suspected terrorists were arrested:

Terrorism is not going away as long as injustice and poverty still exist in this earth.

Therefore, the way to combat terrorism must be consistent in the pursuit of justice and the welfare of the people.

Terrorism is not only carried out by a person or groups but countries can be considered as carrying out terrorism when they slaughter and destroy other nations for whatever reason.

The police are not afraid of terrorists. It shows that police have worked very hard.

Keep this country in peace. Congratulations.

Why don’t the Islamic leaders condemn the actions of their followers?

Why do they not take a firm stand against them and let moderate Muslims know that they do not agree with violence in name of the Islam?

APH Mulders

Islam has nothing to do with terrorism.

These two verses are enough to proove it, “It is the truth from your Lord; wherefore let him who will, believe, and let him who will, disbelieve.” (Al Kahf:29) and “There is no compulsion in religion.” (Al Baqara 256).

Islam means peace. Peace and terrorism are two different things and cannot co-exist. Just like light and darkness cannot exist together.

Those people who use terror pose themselves as followers of the Prophet Muhammad, while Muhammad never used any compulsion, force and terror.

On the contrary, he and his followers were terrorized by those who disbelieved.

So, the war he fought in his lifetime was a war on terror in its truest sense.

But, there is no reason for Muslims in this era to use sword because nobody uses sword to force them to leave their religion.

All war and strife in this era are political and not religious in nature.

Abdul Mukhlis

The last attack on the police indicates that terrorism is still a serious problem in this country.
