Singer and soap opera star Cindy Claudia Harahap said she was the victim of medical malpractice in a hospital in South Jakarta.

The 37-year-old explained that doctors at the hospital had misdiagnosed her as having an intestinal infection.

“I underwent long treatment. I almost died due to the wrong diagnosis,” she told detikhot.com recently.

After feeling worse after an operation, she flew to Singapore to get a second opinion and the doctor said that it was actually a womb infection that had caused her illness. The daughter of veteran song-writer Rinto Harahap then decided to seek treatment in Singapore.

The mother of three added she felt better now even though she has not fully recovered.
