Guess what?: Lonely Shandy Aulia adopts son

S

handy Aulia says she adopted her son, Reinhard, to ease her loneliness long before she married businessman David Herbowo six months ago.

“I felt lonely and he [my son] is very cute,” the 25-year-old actress said as quoted by kapanlagi.com on Friday.

Shandy said that Reinhard called her husband “Om”, or uncle. “His biological parents are irreplaceable. Neither of us could ever replace his parents.”

Reinhard is Shandy’s anak angkat, a practice where children are informally adopted by relatives to ease the burden on overwhelmed parents. Shandy said that Reinhard was the child of her aunt.

“My aunt has eight children,” she said.

Shanty also revealed she is not yet expecting after her marriage to David. Before tying the knot, Shandy broke off her engagement with a businessman who is a son of a Cabinet minister.
