Moody, Martyn to award JCA winners

Australian cricket legends Tom Moody and Damien Martyn will be on hand to give out the awards to the winners and best performers of the JCA season 2011-2012 at the at the Gran Melia in Jakarta on Saturday.

This draws the curtain on the 2011-2012 season, where 140 matches were played across three formats of the game – 35 overs League, T20 and Sixes Tournament.

“It was a logistical challenge to host these weekend matches at four different venues, including Jakarta and Purwakarta. In the end cricket was the winner,” JCA President Suresh Subramanian said in a release on Friday.

“The awards will be presented to the winners and runners up of the League and of the T20 Tournament and for best individual performances.” JCA spokesperson Deepak Khullar said.
