Hartati arrived in an ambulance from the Medistra Hospital at 9:42 a.m. In a wheelchair, the teary-eyed Hartati tried to hide her face when entering the antigraft commission’s headquarters.

She was accompanied by her lawyers, Tumbur Simanjuntak and Patra M. Zein.

Tumbur said her client was "still suffering spasms". A nurse also accompanied Hartati.

Separately, KPK deputy chief Busyro Muqoddas said he did not know whether the commission would aim to detain Hartati soon.

"Once someone is named a suspect, they are detained. It is only matter of time. When the investigators deem the time is right to detain her [Hartati], then so be it," Busyro said in Yogyakarta on Tuesday evening. (cor/yps)
