Bienvenido Navarro, 51-year-old Filipino worker, picks up used plastic sheets which were dried out in the sun at a junk shop in suburban Caloocan, north of Manila, Philippines on Wednesday. Workers wash and clean used plastic sheets that are then sold for P25 (about US 60 cents) per kilo to a recycling plant. Navarro earns P250 (about US $6) for a day's work at the junk shop.
