The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) says it will summon the officials in charge of two foreign men who escaped after they were sentenced to prison for counterfeiting.
Mzyece Isililo, 19, from Zambia and Mickelson Inzagi Joe, 29, from Mozambique, fled on Wednesday night after the South Jakarta Court sentenced the men to three years’ imprisonment for their crimes.
Your comments:
Since they where charged with counterfeiting, I wonder if the money they bribed the guards with was counterfeit.

Those who escaped did the right thing because Indonesia imposes harsher punishments if the alleged criminals come from African countries.
However, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono reduced the sentence of a convicted drug dealer from Australia.
Indonesia has imposed death penalties on Nigerian drug dealers, but punishments against Australian or US drug dealers are far more lenient.
