JAKARTA: GMIS CC thrashed WPP India XI by 203 runs while Senayan Lions registered a comfortable 6-wicket win over Menara in the Apple Coal JCA League.
A season-best unbeaten 130 runs by Rahul Pagad and 69 runs by Pratyush Chaturvedi helped GMIS CC in putting up a huge score of 297 runs in 35 overs at Karawaci.
Sent to bat first, GMIS CC maintained the tempo right throughout and was 84/1 in 12 overs and 158/3 in 24 overs, before plundering 139 runs in last 11 overs. Gaurang Kapadia took 3 wickets.
A new-look India XI folded up for 98 runs in just 18 overs against the tropical heat and the bowling heat of Anil Yadav and Ashwin Sundar, who ripped apart India XI’s batting line up, taking 5 wickets and 4 wickets respectively.
At Cibubur, the Senayan Lions came up with a clinical performance to beat Menara by 6 wickets.
Sent in to bat first, Menara was reasonably placed at 94/2 in 16 overs, before Senayan bowlers tightened things up. Menara slumped to 116/4 in 24 overs before getting all out for 172 runs in 32 overs. Rikesh Parikh scored 39 runs and Deepak Khullar made 32 runs. Shubho Sarkar took 3 wickets and Rajesh Kapadia took 2 wickets.
Senayan openers made a confident start putting up 69 runs in 12 overs, before Menara bowlers chipped in with 4 quick wickets. But led by a responsible unbeaten knock of 60 runs by Amar Kapadia, Senayan reached the victory target in the 28th over. Haider Mamu Ali made 35 runs. Harshad Bhat took 2 wickets.
Indorama tops Group A followed by WISCI and GMIS CC. In Group B, Ceylon, Bogor & Senayan Lions are all tied with 12 points each.
