The South Jakarta Police said on Saturday that the four brawl suspects arrested earlier this week in connection with two separate clashes in the capital had tested negative for drugs.

“The four suspects have all undergone urine tests and the results were negative,” South Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Wahyu Hadiningrat told reporters.

One of the suspects, Fitra Rahmadani, was detained on suspicion of killing of Alawy Yusianto Putra in a violent incident involving students of the neighboring SMA 6 and SMA 70 high schools in South Jakarta on Monday.

The three other suspects have been identified as Ade Putra Utama, Eko Prasetyo and Galih Aji Wilaga. They were arrested for allegedly killing Deni Yanuar in a brawl between SMK Yayasan Karya 66 and SMK Kartika Zeni vocational schools on Wednesday.

All four suspects may face charges of forceful attack, murder and fatal assault under the Criminal Code, and may spend up to 15 years in jail if found guilty. They are now detained at the South Jakarta Police office. (iwa)
