Two-year-old boy dies after falling from 28th floor

A two-year-old boy died after falling from the 28th floor of an apartment building in Kembangan, West Jakarta on Saturday afternoon.
According to Kembangan precinct commander Comr. Sutoyo, the boy was sleeping in his room at around 12 p.m. accompanied by his nanny Dalu Faizah. Then, at 1:10 p.m., Dalu left the boy because she had to pick the boy’s sibling in the apartment’s lobby.
When Dalu returned with the boy’s sibling, the boy was nowhere to be seen.
Dalu then received a phone call from the apartment’s security officers, saying that the child had fallen from his room and was being rushed to a nearby hospital by officers Sulman Khamid and Agus Mardiono.
Sutoyo said that the boy was still alive when the officers found him, but he passed away as he arrived at the hospital. The boy’s suffered severe head injuries, according to kompas.com.
Currently, the case is being investigated by officers at the Kembangan precinct. (riz/iwa)
