Following his Idol success, Michael Prabawa Mohede is setting his aiming to produce a new album or at least a new single this year.
The 28-year-old winner of Indonesian Idol released his debut album Mike in 2005 following his success in the singing competition and gospel album Kemenanganku (My victory) in 2010.
For his upcoming album, Mike says that he dreams of recording a duet with either 2012’s Indonesian Idol winner Regina Ivanova or runner-up Kamasean Y. Mathews.
“I support both of them, so I will be happy to duet with either of them.
During my breaks or holidays in between my tight schedule of on-air and off-air shows, I love playing video games all day long. I have a pretty monotone lifestyle during holidays because I spend my days playing video games and sleep very late in the night.
My favorite video games are sports-related, especially soccer. Besides that, I also like Kinect for X-Box, the one with a motion sensor, and The Biggest Loser. I love motion-based video games because it also means I’m exercising.
Besides sports, I’m also a fan of adventure video games. It’s a common occurrence that I’ll stay up for a straight 12 hours playing adventure games, so I have to make time for both sports and adventure.
I also like soccer. It’s one of my favorite things to watch. I’m a fan of Arsenal, as well as the Dutch national team besides the Indonesian team.
My all-time soccer gods are Gabriell Batistuta and Edgar Davis.
I play sports regularly such as indoor soccer, swimming, having gym sessions and jogging around my housing complex. When I swim I can do up to 10 laps in an Olympic-size pool with a mix of breaststroke and freestyle.
Besides exercising, don’t you know that I’m a good cook? My best dishes are chicken soup and stew, boiled eggs with chili sauce, and of course, fried rice. My favorite food is anything my mother or aunt makes, but I also find it hard to say no to fast food like chicken strips.
I also love to read, especially adventure novels such as Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. I’m the type person that loves to imagine things, so I found King’s novel very interesting.
But sometimes, I do go out of town for vacation. My favorite vacation spot is Gili Trawangan (West Nusa Tenggara). I like the mountains, but my girlfriend loves the beach, so it’s OK.
One day, I’d love to return to college. I went to college in 2001-2003 and studied Japanese literature but I quit because I had to work. If I get the chance again, I really want to study music or theology.
