ncumbent West Java Deputy Governor Yusuf Macan Effendi, better known as Dede Yusuf, has yet to reveal any possible running mates for the upcoming gubernatorial election.

“We have the names but we think it would be better if the parties announce the names,” said Dede at Gedung Sate in Bandung, West Java, on Thursday. He said that he was still waiting for the final decision from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) head Megawati Soekarnoputri.

It is said that one of the candidates is actress-turned-lawmaker Rieke Dyah Pitaloka. A survey conducted by the Democracy and Information Study Center (LSID) showed that the electability level of Dede outshined that of incumbent Governor Ahmad Heryawan.
