andar Lampung Police say that they have arrested singer Andika Mahesa, formerly the front man of local musical group Kangen Band, for allegedly kidnapping a 16-year-old high school student identified only as CS.

“The suspect kept [CS] with him for five days while her family demanded that she be brought back home,” the police’s deputy detective chief Adj. Comr. Harto Agung said, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

The victim’s family reported the case to the Tanjung Karang Timur police precinct early last week, leading to Andika’s arrest on Friday night in a nearby district in the Lampung province capital.

This is not Andika’s first brush with the law. Last year, he was arrested along with all his then-bandmates for alleged possession of illegal substances. Earlier this year, he was reported by his third wife for alleged domestic violence.
