Jakarta deputy governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama will host an open house at his official residence on Christmas Day.
Unlike other Christians who go home for Christmas, Ahok said on Monday that his family would stay in the capital due to his tight schedule as deputy governor. “I could not go home [to Belitung, Sumatra],” Ahok said as quoted by tempo.co.
According to Ahok, the open house will take place at his residence in Kuningan from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ahok, former Belitung Timur regent, said that he would return to his hometown for the New Year. “I will host another open house in my hometown on New Year,” he said. (lfr)
