Hundreds of residents of Jatinom, Klaten in Central Java compete to catch apem (rice flour cakes) in a ritual called Yaa Qawiyyu on Friday. Five tons of apem were distributed during the ritual, which is celebrated every Sapar month on the Islamic calendar. (Antara/Herka Yanis Pangaribowo)
