Your comments on the appearance of a new strain of avian influenza that
has reportedly killed several hundred thousand ducks in many parts of
the country:
A new strain of avian influenza has reportedly killed several hundred thousand ducks. At present, the most we can do is prevent the spread of the virus.
Not only have the farmers of East and West Java suffered the loss of thousands of ducks; many roast duck lovers will miss their favorite dish, too.
This is the time we should think about these duck-farmers and how they can get by without their ducks and duck eggs.
There must be a way to keep them going, so they can do business again; but better!
