JAKARTA: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has brought back to service its old B737-800 aircraft as part of the company’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

The B737-800 was the company’s first aircraft to fly between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur on inaugural services on Oct. 1, 1972.

A fresh coat of paint returned the plane to its former finery. It included the old logo of the Malaysian moon kite in a red circle, which is a representation of controlled flight and is associated with many Malaysian myths.
