Just because Jokowi has been regularly photographed handing out noodles, potable water and blankets to flood it victims, it does not mean that he is capable of running the country. People, please get real and stop dreaming!
Jokowi should stick to his job as governor of Jakarta and start taking swift action to ensure that Jakarta is free from floods.
Having endless meetings and talking about measures to solve the flood problem will not do it. Neither will handing out food and posing on front covers of magazines.
Jokowi, stop your endless dawdling. Take action and face reality.

While other candidates would think “what is it for me”; Jokowi says “How can we improve our peoples’ welfare?”
This should determine who should be president in 2014. The presidential election in 2019 is too far away for the people to suffer that long.
As president, Jokowi could do much more for those who have been neglected and especially in uniting people under Pancasila. This has become imperative. We need a dedicated president like Jokowi, the sooner the better.

Undoubtedly, the effort Jokowi has put forth so far to implement infrastructure and systemic changes in this city have been recognized through his successful interaction with the Indonesian masses.
Let’s see what Jokowi can accomplish in the driver’s seat in Jakarta. Should this relatable figure achieve the changes he has promised and can win over the public, then I don’t see why he cannot earn the right to run for the presidency.

Does Jokowi want to run for president amid such a chaotic situation? If yes, I would like to be the first Indonesian to say “yes” to vote for him.
