atron of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), Taufiq Kiemas, said that his party would have no problem nominating candidates for the 2014 presidential election.
“The PDI-P has so many [potential] presidential candidates,” Taufiq said as quoted by kompas.com.
He said that the PDI-P could nominate some of its young members, including deputy speaker of the House of Representatives Pramono Anung Wibowo and chairman of the PDI-P faction at the House Puan Maharani.
Taufiq said party chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri should not run in the election to give younger candidates a chance.
