Anto D. Holyman, 43, a prosecutor formally involved with the Sebalang steam-power plant land acquisition corruption case, has been temporarily relieved of his post at the Lampung Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) after he was caught in a compromising situation with a teenager in mid-February.

The decision was made after Lampung Prosecutor’s Office chief Ajimbar held a meeting with eight senior prosecutors.

“A prosecutor whose [behavior] is against the law and codes of ethics will face harsh sanctions,” Ajimbar said.

On Feb. 14, the Tanjungkarang Barat police found Anto in a hotel room in Bandar Lampung with a 17-year-old female student at about 4:30 a.m. local time. He was not arrested.

The police declared Anto a suspect for allegedly having sexual intercourse with an underage girl and would bring him to justice for violating the 2003 Child Protection Law.

Lampung Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Sulistyaningsih said her office would take over investigations in to Anto’s case.
