24-year-old man, identified as Dona alias Iday, was found dead on Jl. Sumba 1 in East Bekasi, east of Jakarta, on Tuesday morning.

East Bekasi police’s criminal investigations division chief, Harry Gasgari, said the victim had almost been decapitated and the back of his head showed hacking wounds.

According to information gathered by the police from the victim’s neighbors in South Tambun, Dona had last been seen quarreling with another man.

The neighbors found his dead body later, Harry said. “We are still pursuing the perpetrator of this murder,” he said as quoted by kompas.com.

Dona’s body has been taken to the Dr. Sukanto National Police Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, for autopsy.
