he National Police’s directorate for drugs arrested a group of drug suspects and confiscated hundreds of thousands of ecstasy pills in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Monday evening.

“The arrests were made at a restaurant on Jl. Raden Saleh [in Central Jakarta] and in Kemayoran,” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said as quoted by tempo.co on Monday.

The police arrested seven suspects, including the leader, identified as Robert Jefri, and seized 350,000 ecstasy pills and two trucks.

He said the police had launched the raid, which was led by National Police deputy director for drugs Sr. Comr. Anjan Pramuka, following a report from people in the neighborhood who said they saw two suspicious cars at the scene.

The police are investigating the source and intended destinations of the drugs.
