he Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast that the country would enter the dry season in May.
BMKG head Sriworo Harijono said that in the next two months, many parts of the country would continue to experience showers although of less severity.
“We will experience tropical rainfall but it will be at a less intense level. In short, we will continue to have rain until May or early June,” Sriworo said as quoted by kompas.com.
Sriworo added, however, that some parts of the country are already into dry season.
“Thirty-two percent of the country, including Aceh and Medan, are already into the dry season, but by May 67 percent of the country will be experiencing prolonged dry weather,” he said.
