'The victim, Yudi, 25, was shot in the leg,' Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto told kompas.com.
The incident took place at 11 a.m. on Sunday, after Yudi shouted at two men who tried to hot wire the motorcycle, which was parked outside the beauty shop. According to the police, the thieves fled on a motorcycle, leaving the customer's motorcycle with its keyhole damaged.
The case remains under investigation, Rikwanto said.
