'The President learnt about the incident from the media. He has talked to the US ambassador who confirmed that there has been no Indonesian victim,' Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said on Tuesday.
Two Indonesians reportedly took part in the event, the president director of Indonesia's publicly listed PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN), Jerry Ng and Wati Hlusak who lives in Minnesota.
Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam said the government would continue to monitor the situation in Boston. 'Regarding the bombings in the Boston Marathon, I am calling on all Indonesians in the US to heightened alertness,' Dino said via his twitter account.
'Our very deepest condolences to the families of the bombing victims today at Boston Marathon,' he added.
Two bomb blasts occurred simultaneously near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday. (dic)
