The countries are Australia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia as a host country.

The competition, which is organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), will be offering a total of US$30,000 in prize money.

She said all the teams had arrived in Palembang and were ready to take to the sand.
