he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is challenging a court decision that allows the wife of graft convict and disgraced former lawmaker Muhammad Nazaruddin to get treated at a Jakarta hospital.

Judges at the Jakarta Corruption Court allowed Neneng Sri Wahyunito receive treatment at Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Menteng, Central Jakarta, where Nazaruddin himself been receiving treatment for a "pancreatic problem" since April 11.

"We are against the judges' decision and we are now working to challenge it," KPK deputy chairman Bambang Widjojanto said as quoted by vivanews.com.

Bambang said that it was likely that Neneng had ulterior motives in seeking treatment at Abdi Waluyo Hospital. "Is it a coincidence that Neneng and Nazaruddin both have sought treatment at [Abdi Waluyo]?," Bambang said.

The hospital has been the venue of choice for several high-profile graft suspects and convicts including disgraced lawmaker Angelina Sondakh, business tycoon Sri Hartati Murdaya and Buol Regent Amran Batalipu.

Chairman of House Commission III on legal affairs I Gede Pasek said Nazaruddin had used to influence to get out of prision. "Nazaruddin is more powerful than other convicts. While other graft suspects have gone to Sukamiskin [prison in Bandung, West Java], he is still at Cipinang Prison and gets sick leave to go to Abdi Waluyo," Pasek said.
