7-Eleven convenience store on Jl. Tebet Raya, South Jakarta, caught fire on Tuesday afternoon, no one was injured.
Flames burnt the building's storage area on the second floor at around 2:30 p.m., creating panic among employees and customers.
'Smoke was seen at around 2:30 p.m. from the second floor. An employee could be heard shouting and asking for help,' Supri, an eyewitness, said as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
Up to 20 fire trucks were deployed and fought the flames for about an hour.
'The flames caused damage to the second floor. An investigation on the cause of the fire is underway,' firefighter Irianto said.
