he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has declared Central Java regional secretary Hadi Prabowo and incumbent governorBibit Waluyo, with Rp 13.5 billion and Rp 13.2billion respectively, as the wealthiestcandidates in the election for  CentralJava governor.

Third was former lawmaker from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Ganjar Pranowo with a meager Rp 3.1 billion fortune.

Hadi Prabowo said that the biggest contribution to his wealth was the Rp 50 million per month he gets as Central Java bank commissioner and investments in property and gold.

Candidates are required to submitted wealth reports to the KPK to contest the election.

 KPK deputy chief Adnan Pandu Praja said the reports show how far candidates supported transparency. The KPK have asked those who have the information regarding candidates' unreported wealth to step forward.

 'We will immediately ask for clarification if there is any unreported wealth,' he said.(dic)
