rominent fashion designer Didi Budiardjo loves reading. He says he has 700 books at home, which he keeps in a room he calls his 'mini library'. Didi said that talking about fashion all the time and neglecting other interests is boring; so, he likes to read various books to give him inspiration.

Grace Coddington is now creative director and stylist for American Vogue magazine. The book takes the reader from her early life as a model, her car accident right up until now. From this book, I learned that we have to let life flow, which is very applicable to all people.
Ensiklopedi Wayang (Encyclopedia of Wayang Puppet)
After reading this book it left a deep trace in me. Now I know the philosophies represented by each character, their famous quotes and how they came to be. It was truly a fantastic insight for my own work.
My family has a very strong Javanese culture, so things like this are quite common.
Catatan Seorang Demonstran (A Protester's Diary) by Soe Hok Gie
I bought this book because I was curious after director Mira Lesmana told me about her plan to making a film about Gie. This book left me feeling in awe. I was really impressed.
Indonesia dalem Api dan Bara (Indonesia in Flames and Cinders) by Tjamboek Berdoeri
The book is about Malang, my hometown in East Java, during the colonial era of the Dutch and Japanese, as well as the transition to independence.
When the writer talks about the city, I can really relate to it. Besides, apparently the writer is relative to me.
