P

olice refused to drop their investigation into a cause of a Pamulang man where penis was severed, despite repeated requests from the victim, the local police chief has said.

'We will continue the investigation. As of this moment, we have interviewed five witnesses,' Pamulang Police chief Comr. Muhammad Nasir said on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Abdul Muhyi, 21, has 'begged' police to stop the investigation. 'That's weird,' Nasir said.

The witnesses comprise two of Abdul's relatives, an employee of South Tangerang General Hospital, a security guard at the crime scene and a person mentioned when the victim was questioned.

Nasir said that police were still in dark because Abdul, a resident of Sawangan in Depok, West Java, had declined to cooperate with detectives.

Abdul was taken to South Tangerang General Hospital after he arrived at the Pamulang community health clinic (Puskesmas) on Tuesday with his penis already severed.
