On Sunday April 28th, the freewestpapua.org website reported that Mohammad Niaz Abbasi, mayor of Oxford, UK, accompanied by Benny Wenda, the coordinator of the Free West Papua Campaign (FWPC), Andrew Smith, a member of the British parliament, and former mayor of Oxford, Elise Benjamin, officially opened a Free Papua Movement (OPM) representative office. Your comments:
Benny Wenda failed to get support from the Dutch government and the public?
Thanks to his campaign and other brave people reporting about the situation in West Papua, more and more people around the world (also in RI) support the Papuans' demand for a referendum.
And while the Dutch government (and many others too) is not brave enough to officially support West Papua's independence, it refuses to sell tanks to Indonesia because of the conflict in Papua.
And if you have a look at the International Parliamentarians for West Papua, you will see that there are dozens of MPs supporting West Papua's independence.
So I´m sure RI sovereignty in Papua is not final, the only question is, for how long?
