akarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has objected to a movie on his life.

'Frankly speaking, I'm not keen [on the idea],' he said on Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com

The film, 'Jokowi', tells the story of the governor's life from early childhood to his student days at Gadjah Mada University. It is due to be released on June 20, a day before Jokowi's birthday.

The movie was reportedly directed by Azhar Kinoi Lubis and filmed in Surakarta (Solo) and Yogyakarta.

Actors Prisia Nasution, Teuku Rifku Wikana, Ayu Diah Pasha, and Ratna Riantiarno are reportedly among the cast.

Jokowi said the movie could give the wrong impression, especially since it wasmade without his consent. Furthermore, he felt that his life story did not makea strong movie storyline as he was a 'minor figure'.(asw/dic)
