he Academic Assembly of Ethics at Padjadjaran University's (Unpad) School of Law has questioned two officials, identified only as LA and IM, over allegations of plagiarism.

'We will give them a chance to defend themselves,' said the head of ethics assembly, Etty R. Agoes, in Bandung on Tuesday.

Previously, Unpad suspended two lecturers, who hold doctoral degrees, for allegedly committing plagiarism in Cybernotary (dalam aktivitas notaris di Indonesia) (Cybernotary [in the activities of notaries public in Indonesia]), which was published by Books Terrace and Library.

The case emerged when Helen Ryanta Nainggolan, alumni of Unpad's notary master's program, reported to Unpad rector Ganjar Kurnia that the book was similar to her thesis, which she finished in July 2011. LA and IM were Helen's thesis examiners. Etty said that the assembly would also question Helen and the book editors, Chloryne Tri Isana Dewi and Andri Febrian Benjamin.
