emocratic Party deputy chief Nurhayati Assegafsaid the party would be fine if the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS)intended to leave the coalition in response to mounting dissatisfaction.
"Please do leave if you [the PKS] don't feelconvenient being in the coalition,' Nurhayati said. "I'm confidentthat the President will successfully lead the coalition without the PKS'presence".
Earlier on Wednesday, PKS deputy secretary generalFahri Hamzah expressed his disappointment in President SusiloBambang Yudhoyono's leadership, saying he wished that the PKS would leaveYudhoyono's coalition.
Fahri acknowledged that he shared the same opinionas his fellow PKS politicians, citing the party' religious council had also seriously considered to pulling out support.
Nurhayati also reiterated that if the PKS wantedto materialize its threat then it should give up the threeministerial positions led by its members, at the Agriculture Ministry, Informaticsand Technology Ministry and Social Affairs Ministry. (dic)
