The Panwaslu chairperson Sri Wahyu Ananingsih said in Semarang on Thursday that the committee in association with the local public order agency had been trying to take down the campaign banners in the city all day.

"We have told the 57 advertisement bureau involved in the campaign to strip away the banners," she said. "But they have yet to take action."
