It is easy for vegetarians to consider themselves morally superior to the meat-eating crowd.

It is easy to dislike meat simply because it is the most mainstream food item in almost every culture and civilization. In modern times, the voice of the gospel of vegetarianism has grown louder. (M. Taufiqurrahman)

Senior PKS politicians did not rig the system to increase meat imports. They allegedly rigged the system to decrease beef imports to make the sale of import licenses more lucrative.

Compulsory food control will inevitably reemerge in new guises, whether through clove monopolies or 'beefgate', as long as people are willing to be duped by the phony calls to piety or patriotism.

I am not a meat lover, nor am I a vegetarian. In fact, I failed in my recent attempt to become a vegan. But I did, however, find out that consuming only small portions of meat does indeed make you healthier.

If Indonesians revert to being more traditional and consume more vegetables, I think that we would be better off.

Such a sad situation for this rich country! If people were more health conscious, we would not have had to import meat, which has provided a loophole for corruption.

We import almost everything, even meat. What are we exporting?
