T

he 2012-2013 cricket season culminated with victories for WISCI and Menara in the Apple Coal JCA League Cup and Plate respectively.

The top individual honors were bagged by WISCI's Viraj Bhammar for scoring most runs (622) and by Bogor's Scott Masson for the highest aggregate wicket haul (33).

TKCC's Prabhu Kaliraj had the highest individual score of the season (147) and WISCI's David Holme returned the JCA's all-time best bowling figures, taking 8 wickets for 11 runs.

WISCI's Rajeev Rajeswaran was the best all-rounder scoring 428 runs and taking 18 wickets. Ceylon registered the highest total of 336 runs while GMIS XI registered the lowest team score (13) for the season.

WISCI remained the only unbeaten team in the League winning all 12 matches while Bogor won 10 of its 13 matches. Mavecrics was the only team to lose all 9 matches. JCA stats guru Randy Reckerman came up with the data.

'This year's league which started in September last year had 17 teams joining in, an all-time high. It was a logistical challenge to host 93 games through the rainy season, spread over 4 venues, but we did it. We are now getting ready for the T20 Championship which starts on June 1', said JCA President Suresh Subramanian.
